Continued Progress!

The nurses let us know today that they are going to start weening the girls off of the oxygen coming through the cannula. They also told us that no labs (where they draw blood and run tests) will be done on Annie or Ruthie because they are at or close to 1500 grams (about 3.3 lbs). Gracie will probably still get one, but she is not far behind in weight.

  1. What cute pictures of Gracie and Ruthie together! I'm so glad that they are starting to let them share a "bed." How sweet!

  2. Soo... No labs means that they're big enough that they don't need them anymore?

  3. That's so cute they get so sleep together. When Annie's a little bigger, will they put all three in together?

  4. Oh I bet they loved being near each other in their own little subconscious way! So cute. I'm glad they keep growing and doing better and better. We put your names on the temple roll. I'm sure a lot of people have...

Sorry I missed out on vocal communication today! Hope we can catch each other at some point.

Hang in there! You are being so positive, but I bet you're exhausted too. You can do it!

  5. To answer Chad's question in his comment, when babies reach 1500 grams and show no signs of problems the nurses and doctors aren't as concerned. When the babies were first born the doctors wanted to check for any signs of potential problems. The previous labs have not revealed any problems so far and the babies are growing as hoped. They won't need labs done again until they start showing signs of sickness or some other problem.
